Michael “Mike” Collins sadly passed away in September 2022 after a very brief and extremely brave battle with cancer. Mike loved being an appraiser and took great pride in knowing his consultation and reporting helped people get the expert valuations they needed to achieve their business goals.

After 13 years working in the auction and liquidation business, Mike struck out on his own in 2001 to pursue his passion for appraisal work, which had grown into a large part of his responsibilities.  With lots of hard work and steadfast dedication to his clients, Mike and his partner Hilary Watson grew TAS into a thriving professional services business.

Before his sudden passing, Mike had already initiated the process to transition ownership and management into the capable hands of his long-time business associate, Greg Dyck, formerly of Jarvis Auctions and Timeline Sales. Greg shares the same background and career path as Mike and is now working in consultation with Hilary to continue Mike’s legacy, following his guiding principles of professionalism and impeccable service to clients.
